Our human anatomy and physiology teacher also teached us that. But any of us didn’t connect the logic behind it. Means if you put salt on tongue in region of sweet taste will it be tasteless? may be some parts more sensitive to a particular taste. But that doesn’t means
that that parts senses only that taste. This was scientifically disproven by
research which found that all taste sensations come from all regions of the tongue,
although different parts are more sensitive to certain tastes which maybe
reason for this misconception.
2. MOUNT EVEREST IS THE 'TALLEST' MOUNTAIN IN THE WORLD
As every child knows that which is the tallest Mountain in the world and the answer is Mount Everest. But really? According to some experts the height of Mount Everest measured i.e. 8844.43 meters is from the above of sea level. But if measured from below the sea level “Mauna kea” is the world’s tallest Mountain with a height of about 10210 meters. Definitely that was out of the box thinking I never thought!

Yes I also thought that the ostriches are scared then they bury their head in the sand. But it is not true. The main reason is that swallowing sand and pebbles help them to grind their food in their stomachs. This means they have to bend down and briefly stick their heads in the earth to collect the pebbles. It is not because they are scared.so that was important to clear the misconceptions about the ostriches.

14. ALCOHOL KEEPS YOU WARM
Alcohol is cold but when you drink it makes you completely warm that is a misconception by the way. In fact alcohol may make your skin feel warm, but this is due to a sip of alcohol causes your blood vessels to dilate, moving warm blood closer to the surface of your skin, making you feel warmer temporarily.
